To another he said,“ Follow me.” But he said,“ Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”And Jesus said to him,“ Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

Then food was set before him to eat. But he said,“ I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.” He said,“ Speak on.”

Then David said to Ahimelech,“ Then have you not here a spear or a sword at hand? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.”

Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.

But he said to them,“ Do not delay me, since the Lord has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master.”

He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a staff— no bread, no bag, no money in their belts—but to wear sandals and not put on two tunics.And he said to them,“ Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you depart from there.And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.”

Acquire no gold or silver or copper for your belts,no bag for your journey, or two tunics or sandals or a staff, for the laborer deserves his food.And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart.As you enter the house, greet it.And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.

And he said to them,“ Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

Then she saddled the donkey, and she said to her servant,“ Urge the animal on; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.”
