耶穌曰、有人自耶路撒冷下那利歌、遇盜、褫其衣、且傷之幾死、棄之而去、

耶穌對曰：『有人自耶路撒冷、下日里閣、道遇寇、褫其衣、擊之、幾斃、乃棄而逸去。

In reply Jesus said:“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.

Jesus replied,“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho. Robbers attacked him. They stripped off his clothes and beat him. Then they went away, leaving him almost dead.

Jesus replied,“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead.

Jesus replied with a story:“ A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road.

Jesus took up the question and said,“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him up, and fled, leaving him half dead.

Jesus replied and said,“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he encountered robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went away leaving him half dead.

Then Jesus answered and said:“ A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Jesus made answer and said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Jesus took up the question and said:“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him up, and fled, leaving him half dead.

And Jesus answering said, A certain[ man] went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded[ him], and departed, leaving[ him] half dead.

Jesus replied,“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him up, and went off, leaving him half dead.

Jesus answered,“ A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them,“ We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. (niv)

I am counted among those who go down to the pit; I am like one without strength. (niv)

After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. (niv)

I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a mortally wounded man. (niv)

“ But days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will punish her idols, and throughout her land the wounded will groan. (niv)

They say to their mothers,“ Where is bread and wine?” as they faint like the wounded in the streets of the city, as their lives ebb away in their mothers’ arms. (niv)
