耶穌反問他：「律法怎麼說？你怎麼理解？」

耶穌對他說：「律法上是怎麼寫的？你是怎麼讀的呢？」

曰『經何云？』

“ What is written in the Law?” he replied.“ How do you read it?”

“ What is written in the Law?” Jesus replied.“ How do you understand it?”

He said to him,“ What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”

Jesus replied,“ What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”

“ What is written in the law?” he asked him.“ How do you read it?”

And He said to him,“ What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?”

He said to him,“ What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”

And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

He said to him,“ What is written in the law? How do you understand it?”

He said to him,“ What is written in the law? How do you read it?”

For Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them.

Is the law therefore contrary to God’s promises? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly be by the law.But the Scripture has imprisoned everything under sin’s power, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Now we know that whatever the law says speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.

To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, there will be no dawn for them.

If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made empty and the promise is canceled.For the law produces wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.This is why the promise is by faith, so that it may be according to grace, to guarantee it to all the descendants— not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of Abraham’s faith. He is the father of us all

But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them.Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.
