耶穌對他說：「律法上寫的是甚麼？你念的是怎樣呢？」

耶穌對他說：「律法上寫的是甚麼？你是怎樣念的呢？」

耶穌反問他：「律法怎麼說？你怎麼理解？」

耶穌對他說：“律法上寫的是甚麼？你怎麼念的呢？”

耶穌對他說：『律法上寫的是甚麼？你誦讀的怎麼樣呢？』

耶穌對他說：「律法上是怎麼寫的？你是怎麼讀的呢？」

耶穌曰、律所載者何耶、爾讀之如何、

曰律法所載如何、爾所讀如何、

耶穌曰、律法所載為何、爾所讀如何、

曰『經何云？』

“ What is written in the Law?” he replied.“ How do you read it?”

“ What is written in the Law?” Jesus replied.“ How do you understand it?”

He said to him,“ What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”

Jesus replied,“ What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”

“ What is written in the law?” he asked him.“ How do you read it?”

And He said to him,“ What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?”

He said to him,“ What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”

And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

“ What is written in the law?” He asked him.“ How do you read it?”

He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

He said to him,“ What is written in the law? How do you understand it?”

He said to him,“ What is written in the law? How do you read it?”

Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law:“ The person who does these things will live by them.” (niv)

Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. (niv)

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. (niv)

Consult God’s instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn. (niv)

For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless,because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring— not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. (niv)

The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says,“ The person who does these things will live by them.”Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” (niv)
