I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building.

In addition, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you,

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to give recognition to those who labor among you and lead you in the Lord and admonish you,

“ It is like a man on a journey, who left his house, gave authority to his servants, gave each one his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to be alert.

But as for you, exercise self-control in everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Practice these things; be committed to them, so that your progress may be evident to all.Pay close attention to your life and your teaching; persevere in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Then he said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

For this reason we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.

Now those who had been scattered as a result of the persecution that started because of Stephen made their way as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews.

I will give you shepherds who are loyal to me, and they will shepherd you with knowledge and skill.

So those who were scattered went on their way preaching the word.

Now grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.For it says: When he ascended on high, he took the captives captive; he gave gifts to people.But what does“ he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower parts of the earth?The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, to fill all things.And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,

Woe to the worthless shepherd who deserts the flock! May a sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm wither away and his right eye go completely blind!”

Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the commanding officer.Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.The hardworking farmer ought to be the first to get a share of the crops.

“ He said to me,‘ Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

Then I will come down and speak with you there. I will take some of the Spirit who is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.

Summoning the Twelve, he gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.

For you remember our labor and hardship, brothers and sisters. Working night and day so that we would not burden any of you, we preached God’s gospel to you.
