I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

用手握蛇，喝了甚麼毒物也不受害，手按病人就必好了。”

但是保羅卻把那條蛇抖在火裡，自己一點也沒有受傷。

賜平安的神快要把撒但踐踏在你們腳下。願我們主耶穌的恩惠與你們同在。

如果有人想要傷害他們，就有火從他們口中出來，吞滅他們的仇敵。凡是想要傷害他們的，都必這樣被殺。

你們為人不要貪愛錢財，要以現在所有的為滿足；因為神親自說過：“我決不撇下你，也不離棄你。”所以我們可以放膽說：“主是我的幫助，我決不害怕，人能把我怎麼樣呢？”

“人子啊！至於你，雖然荊棘和蒺藜在你周圍，你又住在蠍子群中，你不要怕他們，也不要怕他們講的話。他們原是叛逆的民族，你總不要怕他們講的話，在他們面前，也不要驚惶。

你們要因我的名，被眾人恨惡，然而連你們的一根頭髮，也必不失落。

吃奶的嬰兒必在虺蛇的洞口玩耍，斷奶的孩子必放他的手在毒蛇的穴上。

既是這樣，我們對這一切還有甚麼話說呢？神若這樣為我們，誰能敵對我們呢？他連自己的兒子都捨得，為我們眾人把他交出來，難道不也把萬有和他一同白白地賜給我們嗎？誰能控告神揀選的人呢？有神稱我們為義了。誰能定我們的罪呢？有基督耶穌死了，而且復活了，現今在神的右邊，也替我們祈求。誰能使我們與基督的愛隔絕呢？是患難嗎？是困苦嗎？是迫害嗎？是飢餓嗎？是赤身露體嗎？是危險嗎？是刀劍嗎？正如經上所記：“為你的緣故，我們終日面對死亡，人看我們像待宰的羊。”但靠著愛我們的那一位，我們在這一切事上就得勝有餘了。因為我深信：無論是死、是生，是天使、是掌權的，是現在的事，是將來的事，是有能力的，是高天的、是深淵的，或是任何別的被造之物，都不能叫我們與神的愛隔絕，這愛是在我們的主耶穌基督裡的。
