to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,

You will tell his people how they can be saved. You will tell them that their sins can be forgiven.

He who comes from heaven is above all.What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”He said to her,“ Your sins are forgiven.”Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”He said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Paul said,“ John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus.”

Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works,“ Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man whom the Lord will by no means charge with sin.”

whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance;

the voice of one crying in the wilderness,‘ Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’”John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.

Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

They will no longer each teach his neighbor, and every man teach his brother, saying,‘ Know Yahweh;’ for they will all know me, from their least to their greatest,” says Yahweh:“ for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
