For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge;and in knowledge, self- control; and in self- control perseverance; and in perseverance godliness;and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“‘“ For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols.I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them.

She shall give birth to a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”

that you might fear Yahweh your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you— you, your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession,that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise Yah!

Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.

But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth,

I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and the good of their children after them.I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;because it is written,“ You shall be holy; for I am holy.”
