For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,saying,“ Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath,that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.

He remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant.

I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,

He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever.”

You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”

Your offspring will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. In you and in your offspring, all the families of the earth will be blessed.

Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sake.

He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac,and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it.Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say,“ To descendants”, as of many, but as of one,“ To your offspring”, which is Christ.Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.

“‘“ Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ and you became mine.

He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant.

I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who treats you with contempt. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

“ As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”God said to Abraham,“ As for you, you will keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.

All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.’”
