He has done this to show mercy to our ancestors, and to remember his holy covenant–

to show mercy to our ancestors and to remember his holy covenant,

He has been kind to our people of long ago. He has remembered his holy covenant.

to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant,

He has been merciful to our ancestors by remembering his sacred covenant—

He has dealt mercifully with our ancestors and remembered his holy covenant—

To show mercy to our fathers, And to remember His holy covenant,

To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,

To show mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;

He has dealt mercifully with our fathers and remembered His holy covenant—

To perform the mercy[ promised] to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,

Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,saying,“ Surely I will bless you greatly and multiply your descendants abundantly.”And so by persevering, Abraham inherited the promise.For people swear by something greater than themselves, and the oath serves as a confirmation to end all dispute.In the same way God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, and so he intervened with an oath,so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.

You will be loyal to Jacob and extend your loyal love to Abraham, which you promised on oath to our ancestors in ancient times.

I will remember my covenant with Jacob and also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.

He remembered his covenant with them, and relented because of his great loyal love.

Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish a lasting covenant with you.

I will multiply your descendants so they will be as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands. All the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.

He has helped his servant Israel, remembering his mercy,as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”

You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham,‘ And in your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed.’God raised up his servant and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your iniquities.”

Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west, east, north, and south. All the families of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using your name and that of your descendants.

In regard to the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but in regard to election they are dearly loved for the sake of the fathers.

He always remembers his covenantal decree, the promise he made to a thousand generations–the promise he made to Abraham, the promise he made by oath to Isaac!He gave it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as a lasting promise,

Brothers and sisters, I offer an example from everyday life: When a covenant has been ratified, even though it is only a human contract, no one can set it aside or add anything to it.Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. Scripture does not say,“ and to the descendants,” referring to many, but“ and to your descendant,” referring to one, who is Christ.What I am saying is this: The law that came four hundred thirty years later does not cancel a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to invalidate the promise.

“‘ Then I passed by you and watched you, noticing that you had reached the age for love. I spread my cloak over you and covered your nakedness. I swore a solemn oath to you and entered into a marriage covenant with you, declares the sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

He gives food to his faithful followers; he always remembers his covenant.

I will bless those who bless you, but the one who treats you lightly I must curse, and all the families of the earth will bless one another by your name.”

He remains loyal and faithful to the family of Israel. All the ends of the earth see our God deliver us.

“ As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of a multitude of nations.No longer will your name be Abram. Instead, your name will be Abraham because I will make you the father of a multitude of nations.I will make you extremely fruitful. I will make nations of you, and kings will descend from you.I will confirm my covenant as a perpetual covenant between me and you. It will extend to your descendants after you throughout their generations. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you.I will give the whole land of Canaan– the land where you are now residing– to you and your descendants after you as a permanent possession. I will be their God.”Then God said to Abraham,“ As for you, you must keep the covenantal requirement I am imposing on you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.

Because you have obeyed me, all the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.’”
