There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood— to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—

“ Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can mere mortals prove their innocence before God?

So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God’s grace.
