In relation to the gospel they are enemies on your account, but in relation to God’s choice they are beloved on account of the fathers;for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,

The Lord has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back:“ I will set upon your throne one from the fruit of your body.If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also will sit upon your throne forever.”For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it as His dwelling place.“ This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.I will abundantly bless her food; I will satisfy her needy with bread.I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her godly ones will sing aloud for joy.I will make the horn of David spring forth there; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed.

And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Your descendants will also be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say,“ And to seeds,” as one would in referring to many, but rather as in referring to one,“ And to your seed,” that is, Christ.What I am saying is this: the Law, which came 430 years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise.
