王侯遭傾覆、卑賤升高位；

He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.

the Lord pours contempt on their princes, causing them to wander in trackless wastelands.But he rescues the poor from trouble and increases their families like flocks of sheep.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

He gives prosperity to the poor and protects those who suffer.He frustrates the plans of schemers so the work of their hands will not succeed.He traps the wise in their own cleverness so their cunning schemes are thwarted.

I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth.He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump.He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people!

He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor. For all the earth is the Lord’s, and he has set the world in order.

Such a youth could rise from poverty and succeed. He might even become king, though he has been in prison.

He brings the mighty to ruin without asking anyone, and he sets up others in their place.He knows what they do, and in the night he overturns and destroys them.He strikes them down because they are wicked, doing it openly for all to see.For they turned away from following him. They have no respect for any of his ways.They cause the poor to cry out, catching God’s attention. He hears the cries of the needy.

Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them.And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field.

Then they scoffed,“ He’s just a carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And his sisters live right here among us.” They were deeply offended and refused to believe in him.

The bow of the mighty is now broken, and those who stumbled are now strong.

“ In that day I will restore the fallen house of David. I will repair its damaged walls. From the ruins I will rebuild it and restore its former glory.
