有權者黜其位、卑下者升之高、

王侯遭傾覆、卑賤升高位；

He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.

He has brought down rulers from their thrones. But he has lifted up people who are not considered important.

he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate;

He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble.

he has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

He sets on high those who are lowly, And those who mourn are lifted to safety.He frustrates the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot carry out their plans.He catches the wise in their own craftiness, And the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,That He may seat him with princes— With the princes of His people.

“ The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory.“ For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, And He has set the world upon them.

For he comes out of prison to be king, Although he was born poor in his kingdom.

He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry, And sets others in their place.Therefore he knows their works; He overthrows them in the night, And they are crushed.He strikes them as wicked men In the open sight of others,Because they turned back from Him, And would not consider any of His ways,So that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him; For He hears the cry of the afflicted.

Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
