For he hath looked upon the low estate of his handmaid: For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed,

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, And inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah’s, And he hath set the world upon them.

Who remembered us in our low estate; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;

and she lifted up her voice with a loud cry, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

Then David the king went in, and sat before Jehovah; and he said, Who am I, O Lord Jehovah, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me thus far?And this was yet a small thing in thine eyes, O Lord Jehovah; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come; and this too after the manner of men, O Lord Jehovah!

For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, yea and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are:

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, And lifteth up the needy from the dunghill;That he may set him with princes, Even with the princes of his people.

He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer.
