Mary responded,“ Oh, how my soul praises the Lord.

And Mary said:“ My soul glorifies the Lord

Mary said,“ My soul gives glory to the Lord.

And Mary said,“ My soul magnifies the Lord,

And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord,

And Mary said:“ My soul exalts the Lord,

And Mary said:“ My soul magnifies the Lord,

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

And Mary said: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

And Mary said,“ My soul exalts the Lord,

Mary said,“ My soul magnifies the Lord.

I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart.Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.

Then Hannah prayed:“ My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.“ Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.The bow of the mighty is now broken, and those who stumbled are now strong.Those who were well fed are now starving, and those who were starving are now full. The childless woman now has seven children, and the woman with many children wastes away.The Lord gives both death and life; he brings some down to the grave but raises others up.The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor. For all the earth is the Lord’s, and he has set the world in order.“ He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone.Those who fight against the Lord will be shattered. He thunders against them from heaven; the Lord judges throughout the earth. He gives power to his king; he increases the strength of his anointed one.”

Then I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be glad because he rescues me.

I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.

Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.

Therefore, as the Scriptures say,“ If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”

In eastern lands, give glory to the Lord. In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth, songs that give glory to the Righteous One! But my heart is heavy with grief. Weep for me, for I wither away. Deceit still prevails, and treachery is everywhere.

So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

In the Lord all the generations of Israel will be justified, and in him they will boast.

For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort,

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again— rejoice!

But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty,yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
