天使回答她說：『聖靈必臨到你身上，至高者的能力必蔭庇着你，故此所要生的必稱為聖者，稱為上帝的兒子。

天使曰、聖神將臨爾、至上者之大能將庇爾、是以所生之聖者、必稱為天主之子、

天神對曰：『聖神臨汝、至尊之德庇汝、因是所生聖者、應稱天主子。

The angel answered,“ The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

And the angel answered her,“ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy— the Son of God.

The angel replied,“ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.

基督的誕生是這樣的：他母親馬利亞已經許配了約瑟；他們沒有同居以前，她就覺得她因聖靈而懷了孕。

去找一個童女，是已許配一個人，名叫約瑟、屬大衛家的；童女的名字叫馬利亞。

看吧，你必受孕生子；你要給他起名叫耶穌。『這一位必成為大，必稱為至高者的兒子，主上帝必將他祖大衛的王位給他；

按聖德之靈而說，他是那由死人中復活起來、顯然被立為上帝兒子、具有大能、我們的主耶穌基督。

正想着這些事的時候，忽有主的一個使者向約瑟夢中顯現說：『大衛的子孫約瑟啊，不要怕將你的妻子馬利亞娶過來；因為所生在她身裏的是從聖靈而來的。

因為我們的大祭司並不是一位不能同情於我們的種種軟弱的，乃是一位在各方面同樣受過試誘、卻沒有罪的。

我看見了，就見證這一位是上帝所揀選的。』

拿但業回答他說：『老師，你是上帝的兒子，你是以色列的王！』

說：『拿撒勒人耶穌，我們與你何干？你來要滅我們麼？我知道你是誰，你乃是上帝之聖者。』

他們沿路走的時候，到了有水的地方；太監說：『看哪，這裏有水！有甚麼能攔阻我受洗禮呢？』

我已經和基督同釘了十字架；現在活着的、不再是我了，乃是基督在我裏面活着。我如今在肉身上活的、乃是在於信上帝的兒子而活的；他愛了我，為我捨棄自己。

百夫長和同他看守耶穌的人見地震和所經過的事，就起了極大敬畏的心，說：『真是上帝的兒子啊這個人！』

耶穌卻不作聲。大祭司對他說：『我指着永活的上帝誓囑你，告訴我們，你是上帝的兒子、上帝所膏立者不是。』耶穌對他說：『你說的是；然而我告訴你們，你們這就要看見人子坐在「權能」的右邊了，還要駕着天雲來臨呢。』

巴不得污穢之中能有潔淨呢！一概不能啊！

這樣、在上帝面前、人怎能稱為義呢？婦人所生的、怎能純潔呢？

就是我們從前也都在其中，在我們肉體的私慾裏起居，行肉體上、心神上所意願的，生來就是該受上帝義怒的兒女，像會外人一樣——。

何況那可厭惡而壞道敗德的、喝不義如喝水的世人呢？

唉，我是在罪孽中生的；在罪惡中我母親孕懷了我。

受膏者說：『我必傳永恆主的諭旨；永恆主曾對我說：「你是我的兒子，我今日生了你。

船上的人都拜他說：『你真是上帝的兒子啊！』

但這些事記下來、是要使你們信耶穌是基督、上帝的兒子，並且信了、使你們在他名內得生命。

上帝的兒子，耶穌基督之福音的起頭：

這樣的大祭司、虔聖、無邪、無染污、隔離罪人、高過諸天、正合乎我們所需要的。他無需乎像那些大祭司、每日先要替自己的罪、然後替人民的罪獻上祭物；因為他把自己獻上，就將這事儘一次作完了。律法是設立了許多人做大祭司、總是有弱點的人；但律法之後起誓的話卻是設立了一個兒子、是完全勝任到永遠的。

試誘者進前來，對他說：『你如果是上帝的兒子，就吩咐這些石頭變成餅吧！』
