天神對曰：『聖神臨汝、至尊之德庇汝、因是所生聖者、應稱天主子。

The angel answered,“ The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

耶穌基督的誕生是這樣的：耶穌的母親瑪麗亞已經許配給約瑟，在他們成婚以前，瑪麗亞就由聖靈懷了孕。

到一個童貞女那裡。這童貞女名叫瑪麗亞，已經許配給大衛家族一個名叫約瑟的人。

看哪，你將要懷孕生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫耶穌。他將要為大，被稱為至高者的兒子；主、神要把他先祖大衛的王位賜給他。

照著聖潔的靈說，藉著從死人中復活，他被顯明是神大能的兒子。

約瑟思考這些事以後，忽然主的一位天使在約瑟夢中顯現，說：「大衛的後裔約瑟，不要怕迎娶瑪麗亞做你的妻子，因為她裡面所懷的是由聖靈而來的。

因為我們的大祭司不是不能同情我們的種種軟弱，而是在各方面照著與我們相同的樣式受過試探，只是沒有犯罪。

我看到了，就見證：這一位就是神的兒子。」

拿旦業說：「拉比，你是神的兒子，你是以色列的王！」

說：「拿撒勒人耶穌，我們與你有什麼關係？你來毀滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，你是神的那位聖者。」

當他們沿路前行的時候，來到一個有水的地方。太監說：「看哪，有水！有什麼能阻止我受洗呢？」

所以現在活著的不再是我，而是基督在我裡面活著；並且如今我在肉體中活著，是因信神的兒子而活；他愛我，甚至為我捨棄了自己。

百夫長和那些與他一起看守耶穌的人，看見地震和所發生的事，就極其懼怕，說：「這個人真是神的兒子！」

耶穌卻沉默不語。大祭司又對他說：「我命令你指著永生的神起誓，告訴我們你是不是基督——神的兒子？」耶穌回答他，說：「你已經說了。不過我告訴你們：將來你們會看見人子坐在全能者的右邊，在天上的雲彩中來臨。」

我們從前也都生活在他們中間，生活在自己肉體的欲望裡，行肉體和意念所願的事。我們正如其他人，生來也是震怒之下的兒女。

看哪，我在罪孽裡出生；我母親懷胎時，我就在罪中！

我要宣講耶和華的諭旨：他對我說：「你是我的兒子，我今日生了你。

船上的人都拜耶穌，說：「你真是神的兒子！」

但這些事被記下來，是要你們相信耶穌就是基督、是神的兒子；並且使你們因著信，就奉他的名有生命。

神的兒子耶穌基督福音的開始。

這樣一位聖潔、沒有邪惡、毫無玷汙、與罪人分開、高過諸天的大祭司，對我們實在是合宜的。他不需要像其他大祭司那樣天天獻祭：先為自己的罪孽，然後為子民；因為當他把自己獻上的時候，就一次性地把這事完成了。律法委任的大祭司都有軟弱，但在律法以後，誓言保證的話語所委任的兒子，卻永遠完全。

那試探者前來對他說：「你如果是神的兒子，就吩咐這些石頭變成食物吧！」
