爾必默不能言、以至事成之日、因爾不信我言、而屆時必應也、

因是將成瘖啞、以迄事成之日。』

我必使你的舌頭貼住上膛，以致你啞口，不能作責備他們的人；他們原是悖逆之家。

藉這兩件不更改的事，神決不能說謊，好叫我們這逃往避難所、持定擺在我們前頭指望的人可以大得勉勵。

凡我所疼愛的，我就責備管教他；所以你要發熱心，也要悔改。

你必向逃脫的人開口說話，不再啞口。你必這樣為他們作預兆，他們就知道我是耶和華。」

他們就向他父親打手式，問他要叫這孩子甚麼名字。他要了一塊寫字的板，就寫上，說：「他的名字是約翰。」他們便都希奇。

有一個攙扶王的軍長對神人說：「即便耶和華使天開了窗戶，也不能有這事。」以利沙說：「你必親眼看見，卻不得吃。」

耶穌說：「噯！不信的世代啊，我在你們這裏要到幾時呢？我忍耐你們要到幾時呢？把他帶到我這裏來吧。」

我們縱然失信，他仍是可信的，因為他不能背乎自己。

那軍長對神人說：「即便耶和華使天開了窗戶，也不能有這事。」神人說：「你必親眼看見，卻不得吃。」

這相信的女子是有福的！因為主對她所說的話都要應驗。」

盼望那無謊言的神在萬古之先所應許的永生，

及至他出來，不能和他們說話，他們就知道他在殿裏見了異象；因為他直向他們打手式，竟成了啞巴。

三人中有一位說：「到明年這時候，我必要回到你這裏；你的妻子撒拉必生一個兒子。」撒拉在那人後邊的帳棚門口也聽見了這話。亞伯拉罕和撒拉年紀老邁，撒拉的月經已斷絕了。撒拉心裏暗笑，說：「我既已衰敗，我主也老邁，豈能有這喜事呢？」耶和華對亞伯拉罕說：「撒拉為甚麼暗笑，說：『我既已年老，果真能生養嗎？』耶和華豈有難成的事嗎？到了日期，明年這時候，我必回到你這裏，撒拉必生一個兒子。」撒拉就害怕，不承認，說：「我沒有笑。」那位說：「不然，你實在笑了。」

耶和華對他說：「誰造人的口呢？誰使人口啞、耳聾、目明、眼瞎呢？豈不是我－耶和華嗎？

後來，十一個門徒坐席的時候，耶穌向他們顯現，責備他們不信，心裏剛硬，因為他們不信那些在他復活以後看見他的人。

以法蓮的首城是撒馬利亞；撒馬利亞的首領是利瑪利的兒子。你們若是不信，定然不得立穩。』」

耶和華對摩西、亞倫說：「因為你們不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，所以你們必不得領這會眾進我所賜給他們的地去。」

即便有不信的，這有何妨呢？難道他們的不信就廢掉神的信嗎？
