爾必默不能言、以至事成之日、因爾不信我言、而屆時必應也、

因是將成瘖啞、以迄事成之日。』

同時，我要使你的舌頭緊貼上膛，使你不能開口責備他們，因為他們是一群叛逆的人。

上帝絕不說謊，祂將永不改變的應許和誓言給了我們，使我們這些尋找避難所、持定擺在前面之盼望的人可以大得鼓勵。

凡我所愛的，我都會責備、管教。因此，你要熱心起來，也要悔改。

那時，你必開口向那人說話，不再沉默。你必成為他們的預兆，他們就知道我是耶和華。」

他們便向他父親打手勢，問他要給孩子起什麼名字。撒迦利亞就要了一塊寫字板，寫上：「他的名字叫約翰。」大家看了都很驚奇。

一個攙扶王的將領對上帝的僕人說：「即使耶和華打開天上的窗戶，也不可能發生這樣的事！」以利沙說：「你必親眼看見，卻吃不到。」

耶穌說：「唉，這不信的世代啊！我要跟你們在一起待多久，容忍你們多久呢？把他帶到我這裡吧。」

我們縱然會失信，祂仍然信實可靠，因為祂不能違背自己。」

但那將領對上帝的僕人說：「即使耶和華打開天上的窗戶，也不可能發生這樣的事！」上帝的僕人說：「你必親眼看見，卻吃不到。」

相信主所說的話必實現的女子有福了！」

有永生的盼望。這永生是從不說謊的上帝在亙古以前應許的。

後來他出來了，卻成了啞巴，不能說話，只能打手勢，大家意識到他在聖殿裡看見了異象。

其中一人說：「明年這時候，我會再來你這裡，撒拉必生一個兒子。」這話被站在那人後面帳篷口的撒拉聽見了。亞伯拉罕和撒拉已經年紀老邁，撒拉的月經也已經停了。撒拉暗自發笑，心想：「我已經這麼老了，還會有這種福氣嗎？況且我的丈夫也很老了。」耶和華問亞伯拉罕：「撒拉為什麼偷笑說，『我這把年紀還會有孩子嗎？』什麼事難得住耶和華呢？明年這時候，我會再來你這裡，撒拉必生一個兒子。」撒拉聽見後非常害怕，連忙否認說：「我沒有笑！」但耶和華說：「不，你確實笑了。」

耶和華對他說：「是誰造人的口舌？是誰使人變成啞巴或聾子？是誰使人目明或眼瞎？不都是我耶和華嗎？

後來，當十一位門徒在一起吃飯的時候，耶穌向他們顯現，責備他們又不信又固執，因為他們不肯相信那些人在祂復活後見過祂。

以色列的都城是撒瑪利亞，撒瑪利亞的首領是利瑪利的兒子。你們信心若不堅定，必無法堅立。』」

耶和華對摩西和亞倫說：「你們對我沒有足夠的信心，沒有當著以色列人的面尊我為聖，所以你們不得帶領會眾進入我將要賜給他們的土地。」

雖然有些人不相信，但那有什麼關係呢？難道上帝的信實可靠會因他們的不信而化為無有嗎？
