like the accounts passed on to us by those who were eyewitnesses and servants of the word from the beginning.

Reports of these things were handed down to us. There were people who saw these things for themselves from the beginning. They saw them and then passed the word on.

and you also will testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him,

But get up and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this reason, to designate you in advance as a servant and witness to the things you have seen and to the things in which I will appear to you.

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

For we did not follow cleverly concocted fables when we made known to you the power and return of our Lord Jesus Christ; no, we were eyewitnesses of his grandeur.

So as your fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as one who shares in the glory that will be revealed, I urge the elders among you:

for it is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

To the same apostles also, after his suffering, he presented himself alive with many convincing proofs. He was seen by them over a forty- day period and spoke about matters concerning the kingdom of God.

We are witnesses of all the things he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree,but God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen,not by all the people, but by us, the witnesses God had already chosen, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

You are witnesses of these things.

One should think about us this way– as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

The sower sows the word.

if indeed you remain in the faith, established and firm, without shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard. I became a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the exercise of his power.To me– less than the least of all the saints– this grace was given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ
