Yahweh visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. The child Samuel grew before Yahweh.

Yahweh’s angel appeared to the woman, and said to her,“ See now, you are barren and childless; but you shall conceive and bear a son.Now therefore please beware and drink no wine nor strong drink, and don’t eat any unclean thing;for, behold, you shall conceive and give birth to a son. No razor shall come on his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb. He shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.”

Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward.As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth.Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won’t be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

He settles the barren woman in her home as a joyful mother of children. Praise Yah!

God said,“ No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

When eight days were fulfilled for the circumcision of the child, his name was called Jesus, which was given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you. Every male among you shall be circumcised.

Wait until you have weaned him; only may Yahweh establish his word.” So the woman waited and nursed her son until she weaned him.

Yahweh said to him,“ Peace be to you! Don’t be afraid. You shall not die.”

He said,“ Call his name Lo- Ammi; for you are not my people, and I will not be yours.Yet the number of the children of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which can’t be measured or counted; and it will come to pass that, in the place where it was said to them,‘ You are not my people,’ they will be called‘ sons of the living God.’

She shall give birth to a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”

She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him,“ Call her name Lo- Ruhamah; for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.

Yahweh said to him,“ Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

His mother answered,“ Not so; but he will be called John.”They said to her,“ There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name.”They made signs to his father, what he would have him called.He asked for a writing tablet, and wrote,“ His name is John.” They all marveled.

He said to them,“ Don’t be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him!

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Isaac entreated Yahweh for his wife, because she was barren. Yahweh was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Is anything too hard for Yahweh? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round, and Sarah will have a son.”
