他要按手在赎罪祭牲的头上，在燔祭牲的地方把它宰了。

他要按手在燔祭牲的头上，为自己赎罪，就蒙悦纳。他要在耶和华面前宰公牛犊；亚伦子孙作祭司的要献上血，把血洒在会幕门口坛的周围。

耶和华吩咐摩西说：“你要吩咐以色列人说：若有人无意中犯罪，在任何事上犯了一条耶和华所吩咐的禁令，或是受膏的祭司犯了罪，使百姓陷在罪里，他就当为自己所犯的罪，把没有残疾的公牛犊献给耶和华为赎罪祭。他要把公牛牵到会幕的门口，在耶和华面前按手在牛的头上，把牛宰于耶和华面前。受膏的祭司要取些公牛的血，带到会幕那里。祭司要把手指蘸在血中，在耶和华面前对着圣所的幔子弹血七次，又要把一些血抹在会幕内，耶和华面前香坛的四个翘角上，再把公牛其余的血全倒在会幕门口燔祭坛的底座上；又要取出这头赎罪祭公牛所有的脂肪，就是包着内脏的脂肪和内脏上所有的脂肪，两个肾和肾上的脂肪，即靠近肾两旁的脂肪，以及肝上的网油，连同肾一起取下，正如从平安祭的牛身上所取的，祭司要把这些烧在燔祭坛上。但公牛的皮和所有的肉，以及头、腿、内脏、粪，就是全公牛，要搬到营外清洁的地方倒灰之处，放在柴上用火焚烧。
