And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat:[ which] when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.

The Lord sent fire on the altar. The fire burned up the burnt offering along with the fat parts. All the people saw it. Then they shouted for joy. They fell with their faces to the ground.

And Manoah and his wife looked on[ it], and fell on their faces to the ground.

And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.

And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because[ he is] good, for his mercy[ endureth] for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest[ between] the cherubims, shine forth.

And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest[ between] the cherubims, thou art the God,[ even] thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.

But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these[ things], nor would as at this time have told us[ such things] as these.

Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
