Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.

The Lord sent fire on the altar. The fire burned up the burnt offering along with the fat parts. All the people saw it. Then they shouted for joy. They fell with their faces to the ground.

引約瑟如羣羊、以色列之牧者歟、尚其傾聽、坐基路伯上者、著其輝光兮、

禱曰、居基路伯上、以色列之上帝耶和華歟、天下萬國、惟爾為上帝、天地為爾所造、

所羅門祈禱既畢、火降自天、焚其燔祭與他祭、耶和華之榮光充滿其室、因耶和華之榮光充耶和華室、祭司不能入焉、以色例眾目睹火降、與耶和華之榮光在於室上、則俯伏於鋪石處、崇拜稱謝耶和華曰、惟彼為善、慈惠永存、

二人俯伏曰、上帝、世人諸神之上帝歟、曷因一人干罪、而怒及會眾乎、

日入而昏、有出烟之爐、與已燃之炬、由牲牷中而過、

少進、俯伏祈禱曰、我父歟、若或能之、則令此杯去我、雖然、非從我所欲、乃從爾所欲也、

生物以榮、以尊、以謝、歸諸座者、即維生世世者也、

耶和華之使者顯見於荊棘之火焰中、摩西視之、荊棘焚而不燬、

亞伯蘭遂俯伏焉、上帝與之言曰、

既取之、則四生物與二十四長老、伏於羔前、各執琴與金盂滿以香、即諸聖徒之祈禱、

惟我為爾建室、俾爾永居、

諸使環座與長老四生物而立、皆面伏座前、拜上帝曰、

摩西亞倫俯伏於以色列會眾前、

妻曰、如耶和華意欲殺我、必不納我之燔祭素祭、亦不示我以此事、告我以斯言、

念爾素祭、納爾燔祭、酬爾志願、成爾籌畫兮、

厥後、該隱以土所產奉耶和華、亞伯亦奉以首生之羊與脂、耶和華眷顧亞伯、與其祭品、
