Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.

The Lord sent fire on the altar. The fire burned up the burnt offering along with the fat parts. All the people saw it. Then they shouted for joy. They fell with their faces to the ground.

And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

Fire blazed forth from the Lord’s presence and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When the people saw this, they shouted with joy and fell face down on the ground.

耶和華的天使伸出手中的杖碰了一下餅和肉，火就從磐石中噴出來燒盡了它們。耶和華的天使也不見了。

於是，耶和華降火燒盡了祭物、木柴、石頭、塵土，甚至溝裡的水。眾人看見這情景，都俯伏在地高呼：「耶和華是上帝！耶和華是上帝！」

於是，瑪挪亞就把一隻山羊羔和素祭放在磐石上，獻給耶和華。就在這時候，天使在瑪挪亞和他妻子面前行了一件奇妙的事：火焰從祭壇上升起的時候，耶和華的天使也在祭壇的火焰中升上去了。瑪挪亞夫婦見狀，便俯伏在地。

大衛在那裡為耶和華建了一座壇，獻上燔祭和平安祭，並求告耶和華。耶和華垂聽了他的禱告，從天上降火在祭壇上，

他們彼此唱和，讚美、稱謝耶和華，說：「祂是美善的，因為祂向以色列人永施慈愛！」所有人都高聲歡呼讚美耶和華，因為耶和華殿的根基已經立好。

以色列的牧者啊，你像照顧羊群一樣帶領約瑟的子孫，求你垂聽我們的祈禱。坐在基路伯天使之上的耶和華啊，求你向以法蓮、便雅憫和瑪拿西發出光輝，求你施展大能來拯救我們。

禱告說：「坐在二基路伯天使之上、以色列的上帝耶和華啊，唯有你是天下萬國的上帝，你創造了天地。

所羅門禱告完畢，就有火從天上降下，燒盡了燔祭和其他祭物。殿裡充滿了耶和華的榮光，以致祭司不能進殿。全體以色列人看見有火降下，又看見耶和華的榮光停在殿上，便俯伏敬拜，稱謝耶和華說：「耶和華是美善的，祂的慈愛永遠長存。」

摩西和亞倫就伏在地上說：「上帝啊，賜人生命的上帝啊！一人犯罪，你就要向全體會眾發怒嗎？」

太陽下山後，大地黑暗，突然有冒煙的火爐和點著的火炬在肉塊中經過。

祂稍往前走，俯伏在地上禱告：「我父啊！如果可以，求你撤去此杯。然而，願你的旨意成就，而非我的意願。」

每逢這些活物將榮耀、尊貴、感謝獻給坐在寶座上、活到永永遠遠的那位時，

忽然有耶和華的天使在荊棘裡的火焰中向他顯現。摩西看見荊棘雖然在燃燒，卻沒有被燒毀。

亞伯蘭就俯伏在地，上帝又對他說：

祂拿過書卷後，四個活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿著豎琴和盛滿了香的金香爐。那些香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。

現在我為你建造了殿宇，作你永遠的居所。」

眾天使都站在寶座、眾長老和四個活物的周圍，在寶座前俯伏敬拜上帝，說：

摩西和亞倫俯伏在以色列全體會眾面前。

他妻子卻說：「如果耶和華要殺我們，祂就不會接受我們的燔祭和素祭了，也不會讓我們看見這些事並告訴我們這些話了。」

願祂喜悅你獻的祭物，悅納你的燔祭。（細拉）願祂使你心願得償、計劃實現。

到了收成的時候，該隱把地裡的出產當祭物獻給耶和華，亞伯也把羊群中頭生的羊及其最肥美的部分獻給耶和華。耶和華悅納亞伯和他的祭物，

壇上的火必須不斷燃燒，不可熄滅。
