求潔淨的人當洗衣服，剃去毛髮，用水洗澡，就潔淨了；然後可以進營，只是要在自己的帳棚外居住七天。

那人到第三天要用這除污穢的水潔淨自己，第七天就潔淨了。他若在第三天不潔淨自己，第七天就不潔淨了。

他的子孫接續他當祭司的，每逢進會幕在聖所供職的時候，要穿七天。

七日內，每日要預備一隻公山羊為贖罪祭，也要預備一隻公牛犢和羊羣中的一隻公綿羊，都要沒有殘疾的。七日祭司潔淨壇，壇就潔淨了；要這樣把壇分別為聖。滿了七日，自八日以後，祭司要在壇上獻你們的燔祭和平安祭；我必悅納你們。這是主耶和華說的。」
