He put everything in the hands of Aaron and his sons. He told them to lift it up and wave it in front of the Lord as a wave offering.

But no one else may eat them, because they are sacred.And if any of the meat of the ordination ram or any bread is left over till morning, burn it up. It must not be eaten, because it is sacred.“ Do for Aaron and his sons everything I have commanded you, taking seven days to ordain them.Sacrifice a bull each day as a sin offering to make atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy.

With their own hands they are to present the food offering to the Lord; they are to bring the fat, together with the breast, and wave the breast before the Lord as a wave offering.The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.

Their leader will be one of their own; their ruler will arise from among them. I will bring him near and he will come close to me— for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?’ declares the Lord.

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
