Moses slaughtered the bull and took some of the blood, and with his finger he put it on all the horns of the altar to purify the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. So he consecrated it to make atonement for it.

Moses killed the bull. He dipped his finger into some of the blood. He put it on the horns that stick out from the upper four corners of the altar. He did it to make the altar pure. He poured out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar. So he set it apart to make it pure.

And he killed it, and Moses took the blood, and with his finger put it on the horns of the altar around it and purified the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it to make atonement for it.

然後祭司要用血抹會幕裡耶和華面前的香壇的四角；至於其餘的牛血，都要倒在會幕門口的燔祭壇腳那裡。

雖然你們從前也是和神隔絕，心思上與他為敵，行為邪惡，但現今神在愛子的肉身上，藉著他的死，使你們與神和好了，為了要把你們這些聖潔、無瑕疵、無可指摘的人，呈獻在他面前。

他要按手在他的供物的頭上，在會幕門口宰殺牠；亞倫子孫作祭司的，要把血潑在祭壇的四周。

因此，前約並不是沒有用血立的：當日摩西按照律法，向所有人民宣布了各樣的誡命，就拿牛犢（好些抄本在此有“和山羊”）的血和水，用朱紅色的羊毛與牛膝草，灑在律法書上和人民身上，說：“這就是神規定你們立約的血。”他照樣把血灑在會幕和各樣應用的器皿上。按著律法，幾乎所有都是用血潔淨的，如果沒有流血，就沒有赦免。照著天上樣式作的既然必須這樣去潔淨，天上物體的本身，就應該用更美的祭品去潔淨了。

祭司要用指頭取一些羊血，抹燔祭壇的四角，其餘的血都要倒在祭壇腳那裡。

“為你的同胞和你的聖城，已經定了七十個七，要結束過犯，終止罪惡，遮蓋罪孽，引進永義，封住異象和預言，並且膏抹至聖所（“至聖所”或譯：“至聖者”）。

“你要把公牛帶到會幕來獻上，亞倫和他兒子們要按手在公牛的頭上。你要在耶和華面前，在會幕門口，宰殺那公牛。你要取些公牛的血，用你的指頭抹在祭壇的角上，把其餘的血都倒在祭壇腳前。

但是任何贖罪祭，如果它的血帶進了會幕在聖所內進行贖罪，祭肉就不可吃；必須用火燒盡。”

這一切都是出於神，他藉著基督使我們與他自己和好，並且把這和好的職分賜給我們，就是神在基督裡使世人與他自己和好，不再追究他們的過犯，並且把和好的道理託付了我們。因此，我們就是基督的使者，神藉著我們勸告世人。我們代替基督請求你們：跟神和好吧！神使那無罪的替我們成為有罪的，使我們在他裡面成為神的義。

我們作仇敵的時候，尚且藉著神兒子的死與他復和，既然復和了，就更要因他的生得救了！

你要把一頭公牛犢給那些親近我、事奉我的祭司利未人作贖罪祭，他們是撒督的後裔。這是主耶和華的宣告。你要取些公牛犢的血，抹在祭壇的四角和臺座的四角，以及四圍那些突起的邊上。你這樣潔淨祭壇，祭壇就潔淨了。你又要把那作贖罪祭的公牛犢，燒在聖所外面，在聖殿指定的地方。第二天，你要獻一隻沒有殘疾的公山羊作贖罪祭，為要潔淨祭壇，像用公牛犢潔淨祭壇一樣。你潔淨了祭壇之後，就要獻一頭沒有殘疾的公牛犢和羊群中一隻沒有殘疾的公綿羊。你要在耶和華面前把牠們獻上，祭司們要把鹽撒在牠們身上，作燔祭獻給耶和華。一連七天，每天你都要預備一頭公山羊為贖罪祭，也要預備一頭公牛犢和羊群中的一隻公綿羊，都要沒有殘疾的。一連七天，祭司們都要潔淨祭壇，祭壇就潔淨了。這樣，他們就把祭壇分別為聖了。滿了七天，從第八天起，祭司們要在祭壇上獻你們的燔祭和平安祭。我那時必悅納你們；這是主耶和華的宣告。”

基督既然藉著十字架消滅了仇恨，就藉著十字架使雙方與神和好，成為一體，

所以，他必須在各方面和他的弟兄們相同，為了要在神的事上，成為仁慈忠信的大祭司，好為人民贖罪。

“亞倫為聖所、會幕和祭壇贖了罪以後，就要把那隻活山羊獻上。

你要每天獻公牛一頭作贖罪祭，用來贖罪；你為祭壇行贖罪祭的時候，你要潔淨祭壇。而且你要用膏抹祭壇，使祭壇成聖。你要為祭壇行贖罪祭七天，也要使它成聖，這樣，祭壇就成為至聖；一切觸著祭壇的東西，都要成聖。

正月初七日，你也要為犯了誤殺罪的或因愚蒙而犯罪的人這樣行，為聖殿贖罪。

祭司要把指頭蘸在血裡，在耶和華面前，向著幔子，彈血七次；然後用血抹會幕裡耶和華面前的壇角；至於其餘的牛血，都要倒在會幕門口的燔祭壇腳那裡。
