or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering.

盜若因餓、竊物充飢、人不之鄙、倘其被獲、必償七倍、罄厥家貲、

如以金或什物、託鄰守之、被盜所竊、盜者見獲、償之維倍、

故爾獻禮於壇時、而念兄弟與爾有隙、則留禮物於壇前、先往和乃兄弟、然後來獻爾禮物焉、

凡過犯、或為牛羊驢、或為衣服、或為失物、有人謂為己有、則兩造必以其事告上帝、上帝所罪者、償之維倍、○

爾祈禱、耶和華必應、爾籲呼、必曰我在斯、
