撒該站起來對主說：「主啊，我要把我一半的財產分給窮人。我欺騙過誰，就還誰四倍。」

他真是沒有半點憐憫之心，他必須償還那窮人四倍！」

那人必須認罪，賠償損失，並且必須加賠五分之一。如果受害人已死，又沒有可以接受賠償的近親，賠償就屬於耶和華，要歸祭司所有。那人還要再獻上一隻公綿羊為自己贖罪。

如今我站在這裡，你們只管在耶和華和祂膏立的王面前為我作證，我奪過誰的牛？搶過誰的驢？欺騙過誰？壓迫過誰？收過誰的賄賂而徇私枉法？如果有的話，我一定償還。」

「倘若有人偷了別人的牛羊，然後宰了或賣了，他要用五頭牛抵償一頭牛，四隻羊抵償一隻羊。

倘若他偷的牲畜如牛、羊或驢在他手上還活著，他要償還失主雙倍。

「『我要的禁食是，除去罪惡的鎖鏈，解開軛上的繩索，折斷一切的軛，使受欺壓的人得到自由，

賊因充饑而偷，沒有人藐視他；但若被抓到，他要償還七倍，就是傾家蕩產也要償還。

「倘若有人把金錢或物件交給鄰居保管，鄰居家遭盜，盜賊被緝拿歸案後要賠償雙倍；

「所以，你在祭壇前獻祭的時候，要是想起有弟兄和你有過節，就該把祭物留在祭壇前，先去跟他和好，然後再來獻祭。

倘若二人之間有什麼糾紛，無論是為了牛、驢、羊、衣服或失物，爭執的雙方要把案件呈報審判官，審判官判誰敗訴，誰就要賠償雙倍。

你們求告，我必應允；你們呼求，我必回應。如果你們不再欺壓、指責、譭謗，
