撒该站起来对主说：“主啊，我要把我一半的财产分给穷人。我欺骗过谁，就还谁四倍。”

他真是没有半点怜悯之心，他必须偿还那穷人四倍！”

那人必须认罪，赔偿损失，并且必须加赔五分之一。如果受害人已死，又没有可以接受赔偿的近亲，赔偿就属于耶和华，要归祭司所有。那人还要再献上一只公绵羊为自己赎罪。

如今我站在这里，你们只管在耶和华和祂膏立的王面前为我作证，我夺过谁的牛？抢过谁的驴？欺骗过谁？压迫过谁？收过谁的贿赂而徇私枉法？如果有的话，我一定偿还。”

“倘若有人偷了别人的牛羊，然后宰了或卖了，他要用五头牛抵偿一头牛，四只羊抵偿一只羊。

倘若他偷的牲畜如牛、羊或驴在他手上还活着，他要偿还失主双倍。

“‘我要的禁食是，除去罪恶的锁链，解开轭上的绳索，折断一切的轭，使受欺压的人得到自由，

贼因充饥而偷，没有人藐视他；但若被抓到，他要偿还七倍，就是倾家荡产也要偿还。

“倘若有人把金钱或物件交给邻居保管，邻居家遭盗，盗贼被缉拿归案后要赔偿双倍；

“所以，你在祭坛前献祭的时候，要是想起有弟兄和你有过节，就该把祭物留在祭坛前，先去跟他和好，然后再来献祭。

倘若二人之间有什么纠纷，无论是为了牛、驴、羊、衣服或失物，争执的双方要把案件呈报审判官，审判官判谁败诉，谁就要赔偿双倍。

你们求告，我必应允；你们呼求，我必回应。如果你们不再欺压、指责、毁谤，
