“如果受膏的祭司犯了罪，使人民陷在罪里，他就要为自己所犯的罪，献一头没有残疾的公牛给耶和华作赎罪祭。他要把公牛牵到耶和华面前，在会幕门口，按手在公牛头上，然后在耶和华面前宰杀那公牛，受膏的祭司要取一些公牛的血，带到会幕那里。祭司要把指头蘸在血里，在耶和华面前向着圣所的幔子，弹血七次。然后祭司要用血抹会幕里耶和华面前的香坛的四角；至于其余的牛血，都要倒在会幕门口的燔祭坛脚那里。他要取出赎罪祭的公牛所有的脂肪，就是遮盖内脏的脂肪和内脏上的一切脂肪，两肾和肾上近腰的脂肪，和肾旁的肝叶，都一起取下来，正如从平安祭的公牛取出来的一样。祭司要把这些焚烧在燔祭坛上。至于公牛的皮和所有的肉，连头带腿，以及内脏和粪，就是整头公牛，要搬到营外洁净的地方，倒坛灰的地方，放在柴上用火焚烧，就在倒坛灰的地方焚烧。“如果以色列全体会众无意犯罪，是隐而未现、会众看不出来的，但他们行了一件耶和华吩咐不可行的事，他们就有罪。当发觉他们犯了罪的时候，会众就要献一头公牛作赎罪祭，把它牵到会幕前面；会众的长老要在耶和华面前按手在公牛的头上，然后在耶和华面前宰杀那公牛。受膏的祭司要把公牛的一些血，带到会幕那里；祭司要把指头蘸在血里，在耶和华面前，向着幔子，弹血七次；然后用血抹会幕里耶和华面前的坛角；至于其余的牛血，都要倒在会幕门口的燔祭坛脚那里。他要取出公牛所有的脂肪，焚烧在祭坛上。处理这公牛与处理大祭司的赎罪祭公牛一样，要按同一条例执行。祭司为他们赎了罪，他们就蒙赦免。他要把这公牛搬到营外焚烧，好像焚烧前一头公牛一样，这是会众的赎罪祭。

这祭牲的血既然没有带进圣所里去，你们就应该照着我所吩咐的，在圣所里吃这祭肉。”

那些祭牲的血，由大祭司带进圣所作赎罪祭，祭牲的身体却要在营外焚烧。

那作赎罪祭的公牛和作赎罪祭的公山羊，它们的血既然被带进去为圣所赎罪，它们的身体就要搬出营外去；它们的皮、肉和粪都要用火烧掉。那烧祭牲的人要洗净自己的衣服，用水洗身，然后才可以进营。

但基督已经来了，作了已经实现的美好事物的大祭司；他经过更大、更完备的会幕（不是人手所做的，也就是不属于这被造的世界的）。他不是用山羊和牛犊的血，而是用自己的血，只一次进了至圣所，就得到了永远的救赎。
