or you find lost property and lie about it, or you lie while swearing to tell the truth, or you commit any other such sin.

或是在捡了遗失的物上行了诡诈，说谎起誓，在这一切的事上犯了什么罪；

或是捡了失物行了诡诈，起了假誓，在人所做的任何事上犯了罪；

或是捡了失物行了诡诈，起了假誓，在人所做的任何事上犯了罪；

或捡到东西却矢口否认，或起假誓，或犯其他类似的罪，

或是拾去人遗失的东西，却欺骗人，起假誓，行了任何一件人常犯的罪，

或是在撿了遺失的物上行了詭詐，說謊起誓，在這一切的事上犯了甚麼罪；

或是撿了失物行了詭詐，起了假誓，在人所做的任何事上犯了罪；

或是撿了失物行了詭詐，起了假誓，在人所做的任何事上犯了罪；

或撿到東西卻矢口否認，或起假誓，或犯其他類似的罪，

或是拾去人遺失的東西，卻欺騙人，起假誓，行了任何一件人常犯的罪，

或是撿了人所失掉的東西而在那事上欺騙人、假意起誓：在人所作的這一切事的任一件上犯了罪；

拾人所遺、而誑言發誓、於此諸事獲罪、

拾人所遺、詭云未得、不論所為、誑言發誓、於是陷罪、

或拾人所遺、誑言未拾、若於此諸端、妄誓獲罪、

or if they find lost property and lie about it, or if they swear falsely about any such sin that people may commit—

Or they find something their neighbors have lost and then tell a lie about it. Or they go to court. They promise to tell the truth. But instead they tell a lie when they are a witness about it. Or they lie when they are witnesses about any other sin like those sins.

or has found something lost and lied about it, swearing falsely— in any of all the things that people do and sin thereby—

or finds something lost and lies about it; or swears falsely about any of the sinful things a person may do—

or has found what was lost and lied about it and sworn falsely, so that he sins regarding any of the things that people do;

or if he has found what was lost and lies concerning it, and swears falsely— in any one of these things that a man may do in which he sins:

or have found that which was lost, and deal falsely therein, and swear to a lie; in any of all these things that a man doeth, sinning therein;

or finds something lost and lies about it; or swears falsely about any of the sinful things a person may do—

Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

or has found something lost and denies it and swears falsely concerning any one of the things that someone might do to sin–

or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie— in any of these things that a man sins in his actions—

“ Do not bring shame on the name of your God by using it to swear falsely. I am the Lord.

“ If you come upon your enemy’s ox or donkey that has strayed away, take it back to its owner.

“ Suppose there is a dispute between two people who both claim to own a particular ox, donkey, sheep, article of clothing, or any lost property. Both parties must come before God, and the person whom God declares guilty must pay double compensation to the other.“ Now suppose someone leaves a donkey, ox, sheep, or any other animal with a neighbor for safekeeping, but it dies or is injured or is taken away, and no one sees what happened.The neighbor must then take an oath in the presence of the Lord. If the Lord confirms that the neighbor did not steal the property, the owner must accept the verdict, and no payment will be required.

And this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: I am sending this curse into the house of every thief and into the house of everyone who swears falsely using my name. And my curse will remain in that house and completely destroy it— even its timbers and stones.”

But even when they are under oath, saying,‘ As surely as the Lord lives,’ they are still telling lies!”

For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say,“ Who is the Lord?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.

“ If you see your neighbor’s ox or sheep or goat wandering away, don’t ignore your responsibility. Take it back to its owner.If its owner does not live nearby or you don’t know who the owner is, take it to your place and keep it until the owner comes looking for it. Then you must return it.Do the same if you find your neighbor’s donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don’t ignore your responsibility.“ If you see that your neighbor’s donkey or ox has collapsed on the road, do not look the other way. Go and help your neighbor get it back on its feet!

Do you really think you can steal, murder, commit adultery, lie, and burn incense to Baal and all those other new gods of yours,

“ At that time I will put you on trial. I am eager to witness against all sorcerers and adulterers and liars. I will speak against those who cheat employees of their wages, who oppress widows and orphans, or who deprive the foreigners living among you of justice, for these people do not fear me,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
