耶和華從會幕呼摩西、諭之曰、告以色列族云、爾中有人獻祭於耶和華、必獻牲畜、牛羊是也、如獻牛為燔祭、當取牡者、純全無疵、獻於會幕門、冀蒙悅納於耶和華、按手燔牲之首、則蒙悅納、俾罪得贖、宰牛於耶和華前、亞倫子孫為祭司者、必奉其血、沃於會幕門前壇之四周、剝取燔牲之皮、臠切其肉、

祭司遂為以色列會眾贖罪、俾蒙赦宥、因係誤犯、且為其咎、已獻火祭、及贖罪祭於耶和華、

上帝遣獨生子入世、使我儕賴之而生、其愛由是而顯、非我嘗愛上帝、乃上帝愛我、遣其子為我罪作挽回之祭、愛即在於此也、

若犯以上數罪之一、祭司代為贖罪、乃蒙赦宥、祭物之餘、悉歸祭司、若素祭然、○

但愆尤不如恩賜、若以一人之愆尤、致眾死亡、則上帝之恩、及因一人耶穌基督之恩賜、尤溢於眾矣、且以一人干罪、亦不如恩賜、蓋鞫由一人以致定罪、恩賜則由多愆以致見義也、若以一人之愆、致死乘權、則受洪恩及義之賜者、更由一人耶穌基督而乘權於生矣、若然、如以一愆致眾定罪、亦以一義致眾見義而獲生、蓋如以一人之逆而眾為罪、亦以一人之順而眾為義矣、且律既至、俾愆益增、罪既增、而恩愈洪矣、致如罪於死中乘權、恩亦若是由義而乘權至於永生、惟因我主耶穌基督焉、

又當以愛而行、如基督愛我儕、為之舍己、為獻為祭於上帝、以為馨香、

蓋基督亦一次為罪受苦、義者代不義者、以導我儕歸上帝、其身雖受死、其靈則見甦、

我儕既有大祭司上帝子耶穌、經行諸天、則宜固守所承奉者、

緣知爾見贖、脫祖父所傳之妄行、非以金銀可壞之物、乃以寶血、如無疵無玷之羔、即基督之血也、

惟因基督耶穌之救贖、賴上帝恩、不勞而見義、上帝立耶穌為挽回之祭、俾信之者藉其血而獲宥、以彰上帝義、因其寬容不究既往之罪、今彰其義、致己為義、且義夫信耶穌者、

是以凡在基督耶穌中者、無所定罪、

因其所犯之罪、必攜牝羊、或羔羊或山羊、以為補過贖罪之祭、獻於耶和華、祭司代為贖罪、

若行於光、猶彼在光、則互有心交、而其子耶穌之血、潔我諸罪矣、

我儕由之得贖、即罪得赦也、

夫如是之大祭司、宜乎我儕、乃至聖無惡無污、遠乎罪人、高出諸天、

如其資財不足備羔、則必攜鳲鳩二、或雛鴿二、一為燔祭、一為贖罪祭、祭司代為贖罪、而婦乃潔、

況基督由永生之神、獻己於上帝、無有瑕疵、其血不尤能潔爾良去死行以事維生之上帝乎、

彼為上帝榮之光華、質之真像、且以有能之言持載萬有、既潔眾罪、則坐於皇皇在上者之右、

彼無罪者、上帝使之代我而為罪、俾我由彼成上帝之義焉、

蓋我儕尚弱時、基督依期為不虔者死、夫為義人死者、僅或有之、為善人死者、容或敢焉、惟我尚為罪人時、基督為我死、上帝之愛於此而彰、今既因其血見義、不更由之得救免怒乎、蓋我儕尚為敵時、由其子之死、得復和於上帝、既已復和、更必於其生得救矣、不第此也、且因我主耶穌基督、樂夫上帝、即今所由而得復和者也、○

致讚其恩之榮、即於其愛子中樂賜我儕者、我儕於彼因其血而得贖、即罪之赦、依上帝洪恩也、

夫律盡於基督、致義夫諸信者、

祭司於耶和華前、代為贖罪、其人所犯之罪、乃蒙赦宥、○

蓋律因形軀而弱、致有所不能為、上帝為罪故遣其子、身具罪狀、於形軀而定罪、使律之義成於我儕、即不依形軀而行、依神而行者也、

又告亞倫曰、當近於壇、獻汝贖罪之祭、及燔祭、為爾及民贖罪、亦獻民之禮物、為之贖罪、循耶和華所命、

縱生禽於邑外野間、如是代為贖罪、其宅乃潔、○
