For by one offering he has perfected for all time those who are made holy.

So as you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but chosen and priceless in God’s sight,you yourselves, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood and to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Then he must present from it his offering as a gift to the LORD: the fat which covers the entrails and all the fat on the entrails,the two kidneys with the fat on their sinews, and the protruding lobe on the liver( which he is to remove along with the kidneys).Then the priest must offer them up in smoke on the altar as a food gift for a soothing aroma– all the fat belongs to the LORD.

Receiving sacrifices and offerings are not your primary concern. You make that quite clear to me! You do not ask for burnt sacrifices and sin offerings.Then I say,“ Look! I come! What is written in the scroll pertains to me.

By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God has sent his one and only Son into the world so that we may live through him.In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

and live in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

Though the LORD desired to crush him and make him ill, once restitution is made, he will see descendants and enjoy long life, and the LORD’s purpose will be accomplished through him.

And a voice from heaven said,“ This is my one dear Son; in him I take great delight.”

They were singing a new song:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were killed, and at the cost of your own blood you have purchased for God persons from every tribe, language, people, and nation.

I will sing praises to God’s name! I will magnify him as I give him thanks!That will please the LORD more than an ox or a bull with horns and hooves.

But when this priest had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, he sat down at the right hand of God,

and he entered once for all into the Most Holy Place not by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood, and so he himself secured eternal redemption.

and tear it open by its wings without dividing it into two parts. Finally, the priest must offer it up in smoke on the altar on the wood which is in the fire– it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the LORD.

Certainly you do not want a sacrifice, or else I would offer it; you do not desire a burnt sacrifice.The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit– O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.

But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

so that they may be offering incense to the God of heaven and may be praying for the good fortune of the king and his family.

The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our consciences from dead works to worship the living God.And so he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the eternal inheritance he has promised, since he died to set them free from the violations committed under the first covenant.

The LORD wanted to exhibit his justice by magnifying his law and displaying it.

but the entrails and the legs he washed with water, and Moses offered the whole ram up in smoke on the altar– it was a burnt offering for a soothing aroma, a gift to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
