『若是首長在永恆主他的上帝所吩咐不可行的事上犯了罪、去行其一件、是作錯了事、以致有了罪責的；

“官长若行了耶和华他神所吩咐不可行的什么事，误犯了罪，

“官长若犯罪，在任何事上无意中犯了一条耶和华—他的上帝所吩咐的禁令，而有了罪，

“官长若犯罪，在任何事上无意中犯了一条耶和华—他的神所吩咐的禁令，而有了罪，

“首领若无意中触犯他的上帝耶和华的诫命，也是犯罪。

“如果领袖无意犯了罪，行了一件耶和华他的神吩咐不可行的事，他就有罪。

「官長若行了耶和華－他神所吩咐不可行的甚麼事，誤犯了罪，

「官長若犯罪，在任何事上無意中犯了一條耶和華－他的上帝所吩咐的禁令，而有了罪，

「官長若犯罪，在任何事上無意中犯了一條耶和華－他的神所吩咐的禁令，而有了罪，

如民長誤干其上帝耶和華之命、為所不當為、以取罪戾、

如有民長、誤干我命、為所不當為、以取罪戾、

若有族長獲罪、誤犯其天主耶和華誡命之一、行所不可行者、遂致陷於罪愆、

“‘ When a leader sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the Lord his God, when he realizes his guilt

“‘ Or suppose a leader sins without meaning to. He disobeys any of the commands of the Lord his God.

“ When a leader sins, doing unintentionally any one of all the things that by the commandments of the Lord his God ought not to be done, and realizes his guilt,

“ If one of Israel’s leaders sins by violating one of the commands of the Lord his God but doesn’t realize it, he is still guilty.

“ When a leader sins and unintentionally violates any of the commands of the LORD his God by doing what is prohibited, and incurs guilt,

‘ When a leader sins and unintentionally does any of the things which the Lord his God has commanded not to be done, and he becomes guilty,

‘ When a ruler has sinned, and done something unintentionally against any of the commandments of the Lord his God in anything which should not be done, and is guilty,

When a ruler sinneth, and doeth unwittingly any one of all the things which Jehovah his God hath commanded not to be done, and is guilty;

“ When a leader sins and unintentionally violates any of the commands of the Lord his God by doing what is prohibited, and incurs guilt,

When a ruler hath sinned, and done[ somewhat] through ignorance[ against] any of the commandments of the LORD his God[ concerning things] which should not be done, and is guilty;

“‘ Whenever a leader, by straying unintentionally, sins and violates one of the commandments of the LORD his God which must not be violated, and he pleads guilty,

“‘ When a ruler sins, and unwittingly does any one of all the things which Yahweh his God has commanded not to be done, and is guilty,

『你要告訴以色列人說：若有人在永恆主所吩咐不可行的事上、誤犯了罪、去行其一件；

『若是以色列全會眾在永恆主所吩咐不可行的事上作錯了事、去行其一件，以致有了罪責，而那件事又是隱藏着而大眾的眼看不出來的；

『平民之中若有一個人在永恆主所吩咐不可行的事上誤犯了罪、去行其一件、以致有了罪責，

當大衛在位的日子鬧饑荒，一年過一年、共三年；大衛就尋求朝見永恆主。永恆主說：『掃羅和他的家有殺人流血的罪，因為他殺死了基遍人。』基遍人原來不是以色列人，乃是亞摩利人中剩下來的；以色列人曾經和他們有誓約；掃羅卻對以色列人和猶大人生了妒愛熱情，想法子要擊殺基遍人。大衛王把基遍人召了來，問他們說：大衛是這樣問基遍人說：『我應當為你們作甚麼？我應該用甚麼來贖罪，使你們為永恆主的產業祝福呢？』

跟以色列人中二百五十個人、就是會眾的首領、會中被選有名望的人、在摩西面前一同起來。

摩西和祭司以利亞撒、跟會眾所有的首領、都出營外迎接他們。

你並且要從眾民之間物色有才德敬畏上帝的人、可信可靠、恨惡不義之財的人，設立他們為千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長，去管理眾民；

大衛數點人民以後，大衛的良心一直在打擊他；大衛就對永恆主說：『因我所行的、我大大犯了罪了。永恆主啊，如今求你不追究你僕人的罪愆；因為我幹了極糊塗事了。』大衛早晨起來；永恆主的話傳與為大衛做先見者的神言人迦得，說：『你去告訴大衛說：「永恆主這麼說：我提出三樣災要降於你，隨你選擇一樣，我好向你施行。」』於是迦得來見大衛，通知他，問他說：『你願意你這地有三年饑荒呢？還是你在敵人面前逃跑、而他追趕着你三個月呢？抑或在你這地有三天的瘟疫呢？現在你要思想、要看清楚我該用甚麼話去回覆那差遣我的。』大衛對迦得說：『我非常為難；讓我們落在永恆主手裏吧，因為他有豐盛的憐憫；可別讓我落在人手裏呀。』於是大衛選擇了瘟疫。那些日子正是收割麥子的日子。永恆主把瘟疫降在以色列中；從早晨到所定的時候，從但直到別是巴、民間死了七萬人。天使向耶路撒冷伸手要殺滅城裏的人，永恆主就後悔、不降這災，便對那殺滅人民的天使說：『夠了；現在放手吧。』那時永恆主的使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場附近。大衛看見了那擊殺人民的天使，就對永恆主說道：『是我犯了罪了；我作了孽了；這些羣羊作了甚麼呢？但願你的手攻擊我和我父的家好啦。』
