You are to lay your hand on the head of your offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash the blood against the sides of the altar.

They must place their hand on the animal’s head. It must be killed at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then the priests in Aaron’s family line must splash the blood against the sides of the altar.

“ Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what shall we do?”Peter said to them,“ Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is ready.The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
