因為基督也曾儘一次為我們的罪而受死，義的替不義的，為要領我們進到上帝面前。在肉身裏、他是被處死了，但在靈裏、他卻得存活了。

並有新約的中保耶穌、以及灑撒之血、比亞伯說得更好的。

我們都如同羊、走迷了途，各人偏向自行的路；永恆主卻使我們眾人的罪孽罪罰都集歸在他身上。

照樣，他也必使許多國的人震驚；君王必因他而閉口驚訝；因為所未曾向他們敘述的、他們必看見；他們所未曾聽見的、他們必明白。

照父上帝所豫知、靠靈之聖化、而聽從耶穌基督、受他血灑的。願你們多多蒙恩平安。

但上帝的恩賜是遠超乎人之過犯的；萬眾既因那一人的過犯而死，那麼上帝之恩典、以及在耶穌基督一人恩典中白白之恩、豈不越發加給萬眾麼？上帝的恩賞又是遠超乎一人犯罪之結果的：因為罪案是起於一次的過犯、而有定罪之事；但恩賜呢、雖起於許多次過犯，卻仍有斷為無罪之舉。死既因那一人的過犯、藉那一人而掌王權，那麼那些領受滿溢之恩典和稱義白白之恩的人、豈不更要藉着耶穌基督一人而在生命中掌王權麼？這麼說來，因一人的過犯、萬人怎樣都受定罪；照樣，因一人所行的義、萬人也怎樣都被斷為無罪而得生命。因那一人之不聽從、萬眾也怎樣被認為罪人；照樣，因這一人之聽從、萬眾也怎樣都被認為義人。律法溜了進來，使過犯增多；但罪在哪裏增多，恩典也就在哪裏格外地滿溢；以致罪在死中怎樣掌了王權，恩典也可以藉着救人之義怎樣掌王權，使人藉着我們的主耶穌基督得永生。

他叫那不認識罪的替我們成了罪，好叫我們在他裏面成為上帝之義。

『人的供物若是平安祭，他若供獻牛羣中的，無論是公的是母的，他總要牽一隻完全沒有殘疾的到永恆主面前；按手在他的供物頭上，在會棚出入處宰牠；亞倫子孫做祭司的要將血潑在祭壇的四圍。他要從平安祭中、取為火祭獻與永恆主，把蓋臟腑的脂肪和臟腑上的一切脂肪、兩個腰子和腰子上的脂肪、靠近腰兩旁的脂肪、和肝上的附屬物、連腰子、都供獻上。亞倫的子孫要給燻在祭壇上的燔祭品上、就是在壇火之柴上、做怡神香氣之火祭獻與永恆主。

他受了致命苦難以後、必得見光明；他必心滿意足、因知自己無罪，我的僕人必使許多人得稱為無罪；他們的罪罰是他要背負的。故此我必將許多人分給他做業分，他必分得強盛的為擄掠物，因為他將自己傾倒至死；他被數算跟罪犯同列，卻是他擔當了許多人的罪，又為罪犯們代求。

假使盼望是空的，為甚麼當我們還在軟弱無力時、基督就在適當的時機替不虔的人死呢？人替義人死、是僅僅有的；替善人死、或者竟有敢作的；惟獨上帝卻將他自己的愛向我們證明出來；因為當我們還是罪人時基督就替我們死。所以我們如今既因着基督的血得稱為義，豈不更要藉着他而得救、脫離上帝之義怒麼？我們做仇敵時、既藉着上帝兒子的死得與上帝復和，豈不更要在復和之後、因着基督的活以得救麼？不但如此，我們竟能藉着我們的主耶穌拿上帝而歡喜誇勝呢；因為藉着他、我們如今已經領受了復和了。
