“‘ A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.

“‘ A tenth of everything the land produces belongs to the Lord. That includes grain from the soil and fruit from the trees. It is holy. It is set apart for him.

“ Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.

“ One tenth of the produce of the land, whether grain from the fields or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord and must be set apart to him as holy.

“ Every tenth of the land’s produce, grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.

‘ Now all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.

至高神是当受颂赞的！他把你的敌人交在你的手中。”亚伯兰就把所有的十分之一献给他。

“你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们奉献薄荷、芸香和各种蔬菜的十分之一，却废弃了公义和属神的爱。这些事是你们应该做的，至于前者也不可忽略。

“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们奉献薄荷、莳萝、香芹的十分之一，却放弃了律法上更重要的：就是公义、怜悯、信实。这些才是你们应该做的，至于前者也不可放弃。

我一周禁食两次，并奉献我所有收入的十分之一。’

虽然利未子孙中那些领受祭司职务的，从亚伯拉罕的后裔中出来，他们还是奉命按照律法向子民，就是自己的同胞，收取十分之一。可是，不出于利未世系的那一位，却从亚伯拉罕收取了十分之一，并且祝福了那拥有各样应许的亚伯拉罕。原来，位分小的从位分大的接受祝福，是毫无争议的事。在这里，收取十分之一的人们固然都会死去；但在那里，他却被见证说是永生的。甚至从某种意义上可以说：连那收取十分之一的利未，也藉着亚伯拉罕交纳了十分之一，

难道人会抢夺神吗？你们却抢夺我！你们竟然问：‘我们是怎么抢夺你的呢？’你们是在当纳的十分之一和当献的供物上抢夺我的。你们受严厉的诅咒，是因为你们在抢夺我，你们全国的人都在抢夺我。”万军之耶和华说：“你们要把当纳的十分之一全都带进库房，好使我的家中有粮食；藉此试验我是否会为你们打开天上的窗户，把祝福倾倒在你们身上，直到你们充足满溢。”
