Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall accomplish a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah by thy estimation.

“ Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When someone makes a special vow to the Lord that involves the assessment of people,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons[ shall be] for the LORD by thy estimation.

“ Speak to the Israelites and tell them,‘ When a man makes a special votive offering based on the conversion value of persons to the LORD,

“ Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them,‘ When a man consecrates a person to Yahweh in a vow, according to your valuation,

“ Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When a man or woman makes a special vow, a Nazirite vow, to consecrate himself to the LORD,

“ If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to keep it, because he will require it of you, and it will be counted against you as sin.But if you refrain from making a vow, it will not be counted against you as sin.Be careful to do whatever comes from your lips, because you have freely vowed what you promised to the LORD your God.

When you make a vow to God, don’t delay fulfilling it, because he does not delight in fools. Fulfill what you vow.Better that you do not vow than that you vow and not fulfill it.

“ When a woman in her father’s house during her youth makes a vow to the LORD or puts herself under an obligation,

Then Jacob made a vow:“ If God will be with me and watch over me during this journey I’m making, if he provides me with food to eat and clothing to wear,and if I return safely to my father’s family, then the LORD will be my God.This stone that I have set up as a marker will be God’s house, and I will give to you a tenth of all that you give me.”

Then Israel made a vow to the LORD,“ If you will hand this people over to us, we will completely destroy their cities.”
