“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate a person to the Lord by giving the equivalent value,

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ Suppose someone makes a special promise to set a person apart to serve the Lord. Here is how much it will cost to set that person free from the promise to serve.

“ Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, If anyone makes a special vow to the Lord involving the valuation of persons,

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate someone to the Lord by paying the value of that person,

“ Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When someone makes a special vow to the LORD that involves the assessment of people,

“ Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them,‘ When someone makes an explicit vow, he shall be valued according to your assessment of persons belonging to the Lord.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:‘ When a man consecrates by a vow certain persons to the Lord, according to your valuation,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall accomplish a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah by thy estimation.

“ Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When someone makes a special vow to the Lord that involves the assessment of people,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons[ shall be] for the LORD by thy estimation.

“ Speak to the Israelites and tell them,‘ When a man makes a special votive offering based on the conversion value of persons to the LORD,

“ Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them,‘ When a man consecrates a person to Yahweh in a vow, according to your valuation,

“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of dedication to the Lord as a Nazirite, (niv)

If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin.But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty.Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth. (niv)

After the two months, she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed. And she was a virgin. From this comes the Israelite tradition (niv)

When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it. (niv)

Then Jacob made a vow, saying,“ If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wearso that I return safely to my father’s household, then the Lord will be my Godand this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.” (niv)

Then Israel made this vow to the Lord:“ If you will deliver these people into our hands, we will totally destroy their cities.” (niv)
