主亦賜福、使我之地出產豐盛、

爾曹當思念、此日以前、即九月二十四日、立主殿基之日以前、爾曹當思念情景若何、其時倉廩有穀種乎、葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹、油果樹、俱不結實、自是以後、我必降福、十八節十九節或作爾曹當思念此日以後即九月二十四日立主殿基之日以後爾曹當思念情景若何倉廩仍有穀種乎葡萄樹無花果樹石榴樹油果樹仍不結實乎自是以後我必降福○

如此、則可為爾天父之子、蓋天父使日照善者惡者、降雨於義者不義者、

使潤氣蒸於密雲、使雲霞鋪散、雲氣以天主之旨旋轉游行、所行於地、皆遵天主之命、或以降災於地、或以施恩於人、

彼有權閉天、使天在傳道之日不雨、亦有權於水、能變為血、無論何時、可任意使諸災降於地、

穡前三月、我禁止雨降、降雨於一邑、不降雨於他邑、一田得雨、他田不得雨、遂致乾旱、二三邑之民、往於他邑、求水以飲、而不得水飲足、而不得水飲足或作而未得止渴爾猶不歸誠於我、此乃主所言、

使為荒蕪、不修不鋤、荊棘疾藜、徧生其中、亦命雲不復降雨其上、

異邦人所奉虛無之神、有能降雨者乎、天能自沛甘霖乎、主我之天主歟、能若是者、非主乎、主行此諸事、故我仍仰望主、

兄弟乎、爾當恆忍、以待主降臨、試觀農夫、望得地之嘉產、忍耐以待、待得前後之雨、

以利亞為人與我儕同情、彼切求不雨、則不雨於地、歷三年有六月、後又祈禱、則天降雨、地遂產物、○

雖然、天主未嘗不顯明據、為己作證、即以善待人、自天降雨、使果生以時、賜我飲食贏餘、滿心喜悅、

屬基拉居民之提斯比人以利亞、謂亞哈曰、我事主以色列之天主、我指其永生而誓、今而後數年間、我若不言、不言或作不祈則必無露無雨、
