You will die among the foreign nations and be devoured in the land of your enemies.

你们要在列邦中灭亡；仇敌之地要吞吃你们。

你们要在列国中灭亡，敌人之地要吞灭你们，

你们要在列国中灭亡，敌人之地要吞灭你们，

你们将葬身列国，死在敌人的土地上。

你们要在万国中灭亡；仇敌之地必吞灭你们。

你們要在列邦中滅亡；仇敵之地要吞吃你們。

你們要在列國中滅亡，敵人之地要吞滅你們，

你們要在列國中滅亡，敵人之地要吞滅你們，

你們將葬身列國，死在敵人的土地上。

You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will devour you.

While you are still scattered among the nations, you will die. The lands of your enemies will destroy you.

And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

Instead, you will perish among the nations, and your enemies’ land will consume you.

you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you. You will be left hungry, thirsty, naked, and lacking in everything. The Lord will put an iron yoke on your neck, oppressing you harshly until he has destroyed you.

I will take this remnant of Judah— those who were determined to come here and live in Egypt— and I will consume them. They will fall here in Egypt, killed by war and famine. All will die, from the least to the greatest. They will be an object of damnation, horror, cursing, and mockery.I will punish them in Egypt just as I punished them in Jerusalem, by war, famine, and disease.Of that remnant who fled to Egypt, hoping someday to return to Judah, there will be no survivors. Even though they long to return home, only a handful will do so.”

In that day the great trumpet will sound. Many who were dying in exile in Assyria and Egypt will return to Jerusalem to worship the Lord on his holy mountain.

So you can be sure that you will die from war, famine, and disease in Egypt, where you insist on going.”

“ Today I call on heaven and earth as witnesses against you. If you break my covenant, you will quickly disappear from the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy. You will live there only a short time; then you will be utterly destroyed.For the Lord will scatter you among the nations, where only a few of you will survive.

That is the fate awaiting every one of you who insists on going to live in Egypt. Yes, you will die from war, famine, and disease. None of you will escape the disaster I will bring upon you there.’“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ Just as my anger and fury have been poured out on the people of Jerusalem, so they will be poured out on you when you enter Egypt. You will be an object of damnation, horror, cursing, and mockery. And you will never see your homeland again.’

Then the Lord will send you back to Egypt in ships, to a destination I promised you would never see again. There you will offer to sell yourselves to your enemies as slaves, but no one will buy you.”

For I will watch over you to bring you disaster and not good. Everyone from Judah who is now living in Egypt will suffer war and famine until all of you are dead.Only a small number will escape death and return to Judah from Egypt. Then all those who came to Egypt will find out whose words are true— mine or theirs!
