You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will consume you.

你们要在列邦中灭亡；仇敌之地要吞吃你们。

你们要在列国中灭亡，敌人之地要吞灭你们，

你们要在列国中灭亡，敌人之地要吞灭你们，

你们将葬身列国，死在敌人的土地上。

你们要在万国中灭亡；仇敌之地必吞灭你们。

你們要在列邦中滅亡；仇敵之地要吞吃你們。

你們要在列國中滅亡，敵人之地要吞滅你們，

你們將葬身列國，死在敵人的土地上。

你們必在外國中滅亡；仇敵之地必吞滅你們。

爾必危亡於異邦、吞噬於敵國、

爾曹必泯滅於異邦、必為敵國所吞、

You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will devour you.

While you are still scattered among the nations, you will die. The lands of your enemies will destroy you.

And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

You will die among the foreign nations and be devoured in the land of your enemies.

You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will devour you.

Instead, you will perish among the nations, and your enemies’ land will consume you.

instead in hunger, thirst, nakedness, and poverty you will serve your enemies whom the LORD will send against you. They will place an iron yoke on your neck until they have destroyed you.

I will see to it that all the Judean remnant that was determined to go and live in the land of Egypt will be destroyed. Here in the land of Egypt they will fall in battle or perish from starvation. People of every class will die in war or from starvation. They will become an object of horror and ridicule, an example of those who have been cursed and that people use in pronouncing a curse.I will punish those who live in the land of Egypt with war, starvation, and disease just as I punished Jerusalem.None of the Judean remnant who have come to live in the land of Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah. Though they long to return and live there, none of them shall return except a few fugitives.’”

At that time a large trumpet will be blown, and the ones lost in the land of Assyria will come, as well as the refugees in the land of Egypt. They will worship the LORD on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

So now be very sure of this: You will die from war, starvation, or disease in the place where you want to go and live.”

I invoke heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that you will surely and swiftly be removed from the very land you are about to cross the Jordan to possess. You will not last long there because you will surely be annihilated.Then the LORD will scatter you among the peoples and there will be very few of you among the nations where the LORD will drive you.

All the people who are determined to go and settle in Egypt will die from war, starvation, or disease. No one will survive or escape the disaster I will bring on them.’For the LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ If you go to Egypt, I will pour out my wrath on you just as I poured out my anger and wrath on the citizens of Jerusalem. You will become an object of horror and ridicule, an example of those who have been cursed and that people use in pronouncing a curse. You will never see this place again.’

Then the LORD will make you return to Egypt by ship, over a route I said to you that you would never see again. There you will sell yourselves to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.”

I will indeed see to it that disaster, not prosperity, happens to them. All the people of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will die in war or from starvation until not one of them is left.Some who survive in battle will return to the land of Judah from the land of Egypt. But they will be very few indeed! Then the Judean remnant who have come to live in the land of Egypt will know whose word proves true, mine or theirs.’
