Then at last the land will enjoy its neglected Sabbath years as it lies desolate while you are in exile in the land of your enemies. Then the land will finally rest and enjoy the Sabbaths it missed.

“你们在仇敌之地居住的时候，你们的地荒凉，要享受众安息；正在那时候，地要歇息，享受安息。

“当你们在敌人之地的时候，你们的地要在一切荒凉的日子重享安息；在那时候，地要休息，重享安息。

“当你们在敌人之地的时候，你们的地要在一切荒凉的日子重享安息；在那时候，地要休息，重享安息。

你们被掳到敌国的时候，你们的土地将荒废，享受安息。

“当那地荒凉，你们又住在仇敌之地的时候，地就享受安息；那地要休歇，享受安息。

「你們在仇敵之地居住的時候，你們的地荒涼，要享受眾安息；正在那時候，地要歇息，享受安息。

「當你們在敵人之地的時候，你們的地要在一切荒涼的日子重享安息；在那時候，地要休息，重享安息。

「當你們在敵人之地的時候，你們的地要在一切荒涼的日子重享安息；在那時候，地要休息，重享安息。

你們被擄到敵國的時候，你們的土地將荒廢，享受安息。

“當那地荒涼，你們又住在仇敵之地的時候，地就享受安息；那地要休歇，享受安息。

『那麼儘地荒涼的日子、儘你們在仇敵之地的時候、地總是享受休息的；那時地必息耕，總是享受休息的。

爾既寓於敵國、斯土荒寂、其壤則閒、而享安息、

爾既轉徙於敵國、則斯土荒寂、其壤可享安息。

爾寄居敵國、爾地荒蕪、此時地自可休息享安息年、

Then the land will enjoy its sabbath years all the time that it lies desolate and you are in the country of your enemies; then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths.

Then the deserted land will enjoy its sabbath years. It will rest. It will not be farmed. It will enjoy its sabbaths. But you will become prisoners in the country of your enemies.

“ Then the land shall enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest, and enjoy its Sabbaths.

“ Then the land will make up for its Sabbath years during the time it lies desolate, while you are in the land of your enemies. At that time the land will rest and make up for its Sabbaths.

‘ Then the land will restore its Sabbaths all the days of the desolation, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land will rest and restore its Sabbaths.

Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths.

Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye are in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.

“ Then the land will make up for its Sabbath years during the time it lies desolate, while you are in the land of your enemies. At that time the land will rest and make up for its Sabbaths.

Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye[ be] in your enemies’ land;[ even] then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.

“‘ Then the land will make up for its Sabbaths all the days it lies desolate while you are in the land of your enemies; then the land will rest and make up its Sabbaths.

Then the land will enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.

So the message of the Lord spoken through Jeremiah was fulfilled. The land finally enjoyed its Sabbath rest, lying desolate until the seventy years were fulfilled, just as the prophet had said.

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you have entered the land I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath rest before the Lord every seventh year.For six years you may plant your fields and prune your vineyards and harvest your crops,but during the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath year of complete rest. It is the Lord’s Sabbath. Do not plant your fields or prune your vineyards during that year.

Set this year apart as holy, a time to proclaim freedom throughout the land for all who live there. It will be a jubilee year for you, when each of you may return to the land that belonged to your ancestors and return to your own clan.

For the land must be abandoned to enjoy its years of Sabbath rest as it lies deserted. At last the people will pay for their sins, for they have continually rejected my regulations and despised my decrees.
