但是第七年，地要完全休歇，享受耶和華的安息；你不可耕種田地，也不可修剪葡萄園。

至第七年土地當安息、於主前守為安息年、毋耕種田畝、毋治理葡萄園、

But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.

But the seventh year must be a year of sabbath rest for the land. The land must rest during it. It is a sabbath year to honor the Lord. Do not plant your fields. Do not trim the branches in your vineyards.

but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the Lord. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

這樣，就應驗了耶和華藉耶利米所說的話：直到這地享滿了安息，因為這地在荒涼的日子，就享安息，直到滿了七十年。

如果你們問：在第七年我們不耕種，也不收藏我們的出產，我們吃甚麼呢？在第六年，我必命我的福臨到你們，地就會生產足夠三年食用的出產。第八年你們耕種時，仍有舊糧吃；直到第九年，收成新糧的時候，你還有舊糧可吃。“地不可永遠賣掉，因為地是我的；你們在我面前不過是寄居的和客旅。

“六年之內你要耕種田地，收取地的出產；但是第七年，你要讓地歇息，不耕不種，使你民間的窮人可以有吃的；他們吃剩的，田間的野獸可以吃；你的葡萄園和橄欖園，也要這樣作。

他們會離開這地，地在荒涼無人的時候，就可以享受安息，同時他們要接受他們罪孽的刑罰，因為他們棄絕了我的典章，他們的心厭棄了我的律例。

“當那地荒涼，你們又住在仇敵之地的時候，地就享受安息；那地要休歇，享受安息。因為你們居住在那裡的時候，地不能在你們的安息年中享受安息，唯有在荒涼的日子，才可享安息。
