但第七年是安息年，土地要休息，以尊崇耶和華。你們不可耕種，不可修整葡萄園。

But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.

But the seventh year must be a year of sabbath rest for the land. The land must rest during it. It is a sabbath year to honor the Lord. Do not plant your fields. Do not trim the branches in your vineyards.

but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the Lord. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

這就應驗了耶和華藉耶利米之口所說的話：這片土地享受了安息，它在荒涼中守安息，直到滿了七十年。

你們可能會問，『第七年不種不收，我們吃什麼？』我要在第六年賜福給你們，使田地的出產夠你們吃三年。第八年開始耕種時，你們仍會吃陳糧，一直吃到第九年的收割季節。「你們不可永遠賣掉土地，因為土地是我的，你們只不過是寄居在那片土地上的過客。

「六年之內你要耕種收割，第七年要讓土地休息，不耕不種，你們當中的窮人可以吃田中長出來的，剩下的可以留給動物吃。你也要這樣耕作葡萄園和橄欖園。

土地被他們離棄，荒無人煙，得享安息。他們卻要因拒絕遵守我的典章、厭棄我的律例而飽受懲罰。

你們被擄到敵國的時候，你們的土地將荒廢，享受安息。你們住在那裡的時候，沒有在安息年讓土地安息，因此土地在荒廢的日子裡將享受安息。
