「如果你們的同胞窮得把自己賣給你們，不可把他當作奴隸，

“你的弟兄若在你那里渐渐穷乏，将自己卖给你，不可叫他像奴仆服侍你。

“你的弟兄在你那里若渐渐贫穷，将自己卖给你，你不可叫他像奴仆服事你。

“你的弟兄在你那里若渐渐贫穷，将自己卖给你，你不可叫他像奴仆服事你。

“如果你们的同胞穷得把自己卖给你们，不可把他当作奴隶，

“你的兄弟在你那里若是贫穷了，卖身给你，你不可逼他作奴仆的工作。

「你的弟兄若在你那裏漸漸窮乏，將自己賣給你，不可叫他像奴僕服事你。

「你的弟兄在你那裏若漸漸貧窮，將自己賣給你，你不可叫他像奴僕服事你。

「你的弟兄在你那裏若漸漸貧窮，將自己賣給你，你不可叫他像奴僕服事你。

“你的兄弟在你那裡若是貧窮了，賣身給你，你不可逼他作奴僕的工作。

『你的族弟兄在你那裏若變成貧乏，將自己賣給你，你不可叫他作奴隸的工：

如宗族中、有匱乏者、自鬻於爾、勿視若奴、

如宗族貧乏、自鬻於爾、勿視若奴、

若爾族中人貧乏、鬻己於爾、毋役之如奴、

“‘ If any of your fellow Israelites become poor and sell themselves to you, do not make them work as slaves.

“‘ Suppose any of your own people become poor. And suppose they sell themselves to you. Then do not make them work as slaves.

“ If your brother becomes poor beside you and sells himself to you, you shall not make him serve as a slave:

“ If one of your fellow Israelites falls into poverty and is forced to sell himself to you, do not treat him as a slave.

“ If your brother among you becomes destitute and sells himself to you, you must not force him to do slave labor.

‘ Now if a countryman of yours becomes so poor with regard to you that he sells himself to you, you shall not subject him to a slave’s service.

‘ And if one of your brethren who dwells by you becomes poor, and sells himself to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a slave.

And if thy brother be waxed poor with thee, and sell himself unto thee; thou shalt not make him to serve as a bond- servant.

“ If your brother among you becomes destitute and sells himself to you, you must not force him to do slave labor.

And if thy brother[ that dwelleth] by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

“‘ If your brother becomes impoverished with regard to you so that he sells himself to you, you must not subject him to slave service.

“‘ If your brother has grown poor among you, and sells himself to you, you shall not make him to serve as a slave.

你若買一個希伯來人當奴僕，他必須服侍你六年，到第七年便可以獲得自由，不用支付任何贖金。

所羅門王沒有讓以色列人服勞役，而是讓他們做戰士、官長、統帥、將領、戰車長和騎兵長。

我們和他們是同胞，我們的孩子就像他們的孩子。但現在我們的兒女要被迫成為僕婢，甚至我們的女兒有些已經淪為奴婢。我們卻無能為力，因為我們的田地和葡萄園已經歸別人了。」

有一個先知的妻子哀求以利沙說：「你僕人——我丈夫怎樣敬畏耶和華，你是知道的。如今他去世了，債主來取我的兩個孩子做奴隸。」

你們可以將他們作為產業傳給你們的子孫，使他們終身做奴隸。但你們不可苛待自己的同胞。

「如果你們的希伯來同胞，不論男女，賣身給你們做奴隸，他們要服侍你們六年，到第七年，你們要給他們自由。你們不可讓他們空手離去，要慷慨地把你們的上帝耶和華賜給你們的羊、五穀和酒分給他們。

各國都要臣服於他和他的子孫，直到他的國家滅亡。那時，許多國家和強大的君王必奴役他。

倘若你們的希伯來同胞賣身做你們的奴隸，服侍你們六年後，到第七年你們要給他們自由。你們的祖先卻掩耳不聽。

萬軍之耶和華說：「那日，我要折斷他們頸上的軛，砍斷他們的鎖鏈，使他們不再受外族人奴役。

倘若事情發生在白天，家主就犯了殺人罪。倘若盜賊被擒，他就要賠償家主，若他一無所有，就要把他賣為奴隸作賠償。

強迫他們和泥造磚，並做田間一切的苦工，使他們痛苦不堪。

他們必受許多國家和強大君王的奴役，我要按他們的所作所為報應他們。」
