在我與你以及你以後的苗裔之間，我必堅立我的約，做世世代代永遠的約；好讓我做你和你以後的苗裔的上帝。

他們必做我的子民，我呢、必做他們的上帝。

其實呢、他們是希求一個較好的、就是天上的。故此上帝稱為他們的上帝、也不以為恥；因為他已經給他們豫備了一座城了。
